Some family vehicles

One of the things about India is how many folks fit into or onto vehicles. Here are some photos from around Bangalore.



Just a couple shots from this week of two wheeler motorcycles serving as family transportation vehicles. Both of these were on Bellary Road, a major highway. Drivers are legally required to wear a helmet.Not the passengers though. And not all the drivers wear them either.

Happy Birthday Yeddy

Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa celebrated his birthday recently, so of course there are many photos celebrating the day all around. Here are some of them.Signs had to compete for space on the bridge over this underpass
Signs were written in both English and Kannada, and showed him in both traditional and more formal attire.

At least he said that politicians should share their birthday cakes with the poor, which he did with some slum-dwellers in Bangalore.
